Well Seasoned I don’t think you wanted the QH10 because it doesn’t have an adjustable upper hook, and that’s a must. I have a Speeco hitch, it’s a lot less expensive and it’s adjustable. I found right off the bat that the distance between the lower and upper lift points is not standard even within manufacturers. I have to move my upper hook to switch from the box blade to the snowblower, both LandPride. It’s still well worth the money imho. Saves all the wrestling and with my back I just can’t do that. Btw changing the hook position is easy, just 2 bolts.
I am happy with the Pat's system and have had no issue with PTO shaft length. I did have had a few issues when I switched them to the L2501 needed to add another spacer then it was ok.
Here's the system on sale! I won't know if I can get one until after Dawn goes shopping today. I shouldn't have purchased what I did yesterday, but glad I did! Pat's Easy Change System - TractorByNet.com Store $146.00
That looks really interesting I got to go figure out what size hitch I have, it might make it so I can put on the implement without getting on and off the tractor four times
This is spot on. Without a adjustable upper hook, a quick hitch would be worthless for me. I have to move the hook for every implement i have for the most part. I have a JD quick hitch, which comes with bolts to hold the hook and i just switched out the bolts for pins to make it go faster.
Put the chains on the Kubota yesterday (just in time) boy am I glad I got the rear wheel spacers. Spent the day clearing the 12" - 15" of snow from the driveway. I got say the hydrostatic transmission is the bomb for this stuff! Just got sat down to relax and realized I didn't get any pic's. I'm sure we will get more snow I'll get the pic's next time.
I think I'll look into spacers for next year. I love these chains y'all gave me, they are so very aggressive, no worry of sliding or loss of traction when they are on! Very tight tolerances though. They gotta be centered perfect and tight to miss my fenders. I've got just under a half inch of clearance. Spacers are probably best done at the dealer I'm guessing. I don't know how on earth I'd maneuver these off and on. Hmmm, unless I had a couple tough brutes at the g2g.....
Going to toss my rig into the mix! Thinning out a patch of oaks adding to the firewood supply last fall.. .
