Repaired the stone portion of the lane today with a neighbor, at least 15 buckets of asphalt millings to fill in potholes. It was very rewarding, but I can definitely think of better things to do with a rare free weekend day with good weather. Sorry no pictures. Pretty boring anyways.

I went through the 3 cords under cover, spent the last 3 hours getting ready for the next snow and clearing the neighbor's vacation cabin's driveway out. Then I cleared an area down below to bring up more wood. Temps about 5°F

I got all new hoses and got the hydraulics working. It’s really nice to have power angle now. I just have some more fabricating on the quick attach brackets. I did reroute those 2 hoses rubbing on the quick attach handles.

No pictures, but I put on the box grader today to ballast out when I was handling 19" x 8' cherry logs. Nowhere near the max capacity of my FEL, but took some weight off the front axle for sure.

It was not so bad in the end. The whole assembly was less than $100 (like $50-80), so I still wound up in the black. Phew! I was expecting something much worse.

Put in a culvert today on one of my trails. I have been stuck here more times than i care to recall. The last time i was lucky to have the BH on the tractor to pull me out. It took quite a bit of #2 stone and still need alittle more on the far end. This spot has a spring on the uphill side so is always wet. Wanted to get it in while the ground was still alittle hard/frozen so that i could drive around it to place the stone. It is a fairly deep/steep little swail, but hard to see that from the picture. You can see my helper was inspecting the work in the first picture. She approved. IMG_4259.JPG image3 (6).jpg

We recieved a few inches of snow then we had sleet and freezing rain overnight. Went out this morning and scraped the driveway hoping these 40°F temps start melting the drive a bit into slush, then maybe later a can get rid of it. Been sanding, but it's been really icy this winter.

Nice set up Slocum, how does the tractor make out with the duo grip chains on it?
