Hahahaha. No, those pix were on the phone from last winter. Green in Virginia still. The yellow poplars are just starting to turn now. :campfire:

"Daddy, there are a couple of trees across one of the trails." Queue up the Mighty Mouse theme. "Here I come to save the day!" And why not turn it into a little firewood?

Don't you just hate when you have to gear up and go cut troublesome wood.

Blower and chains go on any day now.. Steel is easier to work with when your hands are not blue!!

Stlshrk .. one thing I love about my tractor, is it simplicity. Besides motor oil it's all the same fluid. There's three safety switches the seat the PTO and the neutral. Plus the dealer, also my Stihl dealer, where my niece used to work. I can call the shop manager and asked a simple question and get an answer.

Canadian border VT, my Kubota dealer's service manager is similar. I sent a picture to him via text one Saturday afternoon with a question and he called me back within 10 mins with the answer. Pretty awesome. Happy with my purchase from them.

Our chains go on quite a bit later than this - they are so aggressive they fluff up the top 2” of the driveway, and it washes away easier in the Fall rains. They also bring mud and manure into my shop. I wait for snow, generally.

Yes- quite a few days of white stuff expected on and off. The higher summits got a measurable snow last night & today.
