And lastly, trimmed some saplings and low branches- on the forks they went!

Saw a few taters popping out.

    27F this morning.

Got caffeinated at 9am, it was a brisk 40F

Then went to help cut up an apple tree that split in our recent storm.

A real shame, the tree was loaded with apples that were very near to full ripeness.

The apples here on the property didn't really fruit up much. I don't know why.

    Apple crisp

Completed my 50hr PM on the L3901 on Saturday. I don't know why everyone and their brother on the internet keep getting all worked up over it. It was a simple routine oil and filter change. Takes longer to clean the grass out of my lawnmower deck.

No good pictures this time but the work is getting done! The wood piles are growing!

bear 1998.. I considered the kioti, I just came apart across the really great deal on a used Kubota. Then blew the motor and I figured out the ktac insurance was the best on the planet.

The first pic is from last winter when I had just added the bolt on hooks to my bucket. The test load, so to speak.

    hooks.jpg forks.jpg

The second pic is also from last winter and was my then new forks. Those things are like a Gerber tool / swiss army knife / Leatherman. Pretty good for a lot of things!!!

Thanks. I'm a long time lurker here and a few other wood/welding/outdoor related forums. But, rarely a poster.

I think that I remember following a thread of yours when you were deciding which tractor to get. This group seems to have given some pretty good advice on the topic!

I lurked for a long time here when doing stove research.

Yeah, some very good advice on the tractor decisions.

Given a bigger budget, I'd have likely gone bigger, but that would have likely been overkill for our needs.

I just have to work smart and stay within the capabilities of the machine.
    A challenge at times.
