What size grapple did you get? I have the 72” bucket but would I need their big grapple? I know the old saying, “Go big or go home”. They sent me all the prices and sizes.

I got the 55 because I was more concerned with the weight of the grapple reducing my lift capacity. Not once have I wished I got the 60, but everyone uses tools for different purposes.

Very nice machine, I came close to buying used, and really wanted to, but Kubota offered 0% financing so I couldn’t resist.

Yeah Buddy!! I’m going to look into a set of rear chains for the Tractor, I have a sloping driveway and some small hilly areas, they may come in handy. One of the reasons I went with the HST model, and it’s all around easier. I’ve been on the web for the last couple days looking at grapples, sizes and prices. o_O:faint: My frigg’n head hurts, there are so many picks. I will not go any bigger than 60” though, I want to keep it in that weight zone like you.

Dave having 2 "lids" allows for odd shaped loads but will add a little extra weight. Enter this tidbit to further confuse your decision. :p
With (I think) your proximity to PA and maybe DE, looking in those more agricultural areas/dealers would save you some $$$ and probably have a wider choice.
I wouldn't get hung up on steel thickness, (weight) a grapple is an easy thing to abuse... employees. I know you know steel and it's stresses for your judge in its use. You want to booger up the grapple and not your loader, the weakest link in the chain ideology.

I agree 100% and was thinking along those lines! “Great minds think alike” ;) For what I do/want to do, I don’t see the need for something any bigger. If I need to, I’ll cut it up and drag it. I found this on e-bay. price not bad…
