Nice. I've been running one of these for a little over a year now and it's super convenient. That said, the scabbard is considered a "consumable" part so I had to replace mine recently. Just keep that in mind.

I've got to get one of those chainsaw holders. It would be nice to have a way to store/transport the saw when I have the grapple on.

I managed to get out today and move some trees that came down. Still want a PTO winch, but you work with the tools you've got! Drag them to the main road, cut to ~80", then push off to the side to deal with later when I have the grapple on and can move them to the wood area.

Largest one I grabbed in one pull. The rest were smaller and easier to deal with.

Here’s another version, quite a bit pricier than the sawhaul I think, I’ve got a bunch of stuff from ITC, it’s all very rugged and the mounts work with any of the attachments

Saw Boss Chainsaw Carrier for tractors. LIFETIME WARRANTY

Went and bought 140-12’ long cedar fence posts. Made two trips with the truck and trailer to get them home. Unloaded and stacked them with the KX040, now just have to wait until spring to start drilling holes and installing posts.

We did 180 4x4 and 6x6 posts a couple years ago for pasture all in one weekend with a rented post driver on my neighbor's loader. They went in quick once we got it all figured out. Although 12' long may be too high to pound??? Depends on your equipment, ours were only 8' & 9'.

Did another 100 on Friday, my 180 on Saturday, and 20 for a friends deck on Sunday morning.

    similar to this.

I looked at post pounders for mini excavators and they cost more to buy than an auger, and the treated posts are way more expensive than cedar posts about 8-9 times the cost plus a trip to PA to pick them up. The cedar will last 20 yrs and only had to drive 1.5 hours to get them. I’m burying them 4’ due to frost and the 8’ exposed portion will become a deer fence.

I’m planning on buying an auger for the mini excavator since the post holes are just the beginning, then there’s the 445 trees, and that’s just the first stage of the orchard (1.4 acres), it will be replicated again in two years and continue every two years for 5 expansions. I would post more pictures but my tractors are green and would mess up this thread….

I second renting a hydraulic pounder. We've done that a couple times and never regretted it. In the end, whatever gets the job done...

We have an auger for our tractor and use it when we don't have enough to do to make worth renting the pounder. We really haven't used a ponder for anything other than regular cattle fence pasture. All the sheds we have to auger anyway cuz the loader can't get the pounder up high enough to do anything over 9' anyway. I hear you about the deer, we have plenty of them here in Ohio as well and they're the reason I don't put out a real garden anymore. They also eat the apples on the few trees we have but I'm OK with that cuz we still get way more apples than we really need for our own use. We usually only try for about a dozen pies and maybe 10 gallons of cider every year. We've resigned ourselves to tomatoes and squash her. Between the deer and groundhogs around here, not a whole lot survives around our place.

Sounds like you're on your way to a major operation. Good luck and hope it all works out great for you!

LOL on the tractor color... I'm pretty much colorblind and happy with my mix master mess of equipment as long as it works as needed.

I looked at tractor 3 point hitch augers and have used one in the past. Then looked at loader mounted ones and thought about being able to see it over the hood. Ended up figuring I’d rather set in the heat/ac of the mini excavator to do it, and not have to move the machine to clear the auger. Plus it should be easier with the down pressure on the mini ex.
Thanks for the kind words! We are starting a commercial orchard. It’s a long road to go down, but the plan is to have it pay us during retirement.

Doing trail and woods cleanup in preparation for maple syrup season. Easy task for the Kubota . Just a people and chainsaw mover today.

Great day to burn a pile stacked up late last fall. Slow to get going....but finally took off..with a little help ;)
I'd be lost without the BX.
    Nothing that cant be accomplished.
It'll burn and smolder a week or more.
What a beautiful day today !!
    False spring !

Also..in between pushing the pile up..had a chance to quick fix the potholes and washboards in the drive back to our property .
