First workout for the L45 was digging some holes to put fence post in for two gates. I had to fix the gate on the right. Second workout was mowing trails through the property. Hopefully get them finished tomorrow.
HoneyFuzz That hollow beech log is a gold mine of fun at a campfire or GTG... LOL I save those and cut them as long as possible to make a good chimney fire. The fearless leader at Walt's last year... LOL

Well hell. Snuck out to get some play time.. err.. work done.. Just moving some dirt from a failed raised bed garden to fill in where I do found that old septic tank. Got off tractor to check in on Jill, and when I came back, the backhoe arm was canted downhill.. strange.. so I watched it on the next load.. it swayed easily left to right. Got off after that load, and checked.. sure enough there's hyd. fluid on the base.. line to move bucket L/R is leaking. Gonna leave it on the tractor for now, and will remove and replace the line later. Put red zip ties on the offending line. Seems odd to have a line go already, it's only 7 yrs old. Edit.. Looks like it's only about a $20 fix. Have to call the dealer tomorrow
I had a line start leaking on my grapple bucket like that. fitting had come loose. had to waste almost 1 1/2 hours just running to get a couple crescent wrenches large enough to tighten it up. prevented me from getting all my trees I’d cut down that morning cleaned up.
Well, turned out to be a $29 fix with shipping. Local dealer wanted $50, and didn't have it in stock. Could've gotten 2 shipped at that price. Since I don't need the tractor immediately, there's no way I'd pay $21 extra, even if they had one on hand. Edit.. I guess if I was on a paying job that needed to be done, it might be a different story.
Sounds like you have it under control. I’d imagine there must be hydraulic shops out there that make lines up that could have you up and going same day.
Likely. Didn't pursue that option as its not "mission critical". Not sure if we have the capability of this size line at the shop, I know we make our own hyd. lines for the test rigs. Something to look into.
Mowed a 3-4 acre field at the farm. Took me 2-3hrs. A few lessons I learned: 1) brushog width doesn’t equal blade width…so I had to go over some missed spots 2) I should have sprung for the air ride seat…field isn’t that bumpy but I am not getting younger
Dang triple trunk. Dang mud! I couldn't make it through with the trees in the grapple so I dropped them, moved the tractor ahead out of thst mud hole and drug them with the winch.
