    I did it.

    2018 L3901 HST
    Cruise Control
R4 tires - rears loaded with beet juice
    Loader w/ pallet forks included
    Backhoe w/ 12" and 16" bucket

I would really have liked to get R1's for wintertime log skidding but the other 90% of the time I would be destroying my lawns and wearing them out with loader work. I figure I can always get chains if the r4's fail me.

Sounds like Kubota is selling these like hot cakes. I wont see it for a few weeks because the dealer is waiting on the implements.

    Pictures to come!

Congratulations! You’re gonna love your new Kubota! I’m not at all surprised they’re selling like hot cakes. I think you’ll like the R4’s for most conditions. Like you said, chains are always an option, but you also have a more puncture resistant and a longer lasting tire.

Congrats! Your gonna love it! Regarding your question earlier regarding lifting up a pallet of wood, it should be doable, but having ballast is the important factor. Seeing you got the bh, you have that! My loader is the 534 and it does good with a pallet load. But, I need more ballast too keep it safer. With those forks, they'll be so much you didn't know you could do!

    Born2Burn congratulations, questions

Did you get 3rd function remote for front. If not consider it.. Does it have cab? If not consider sunshade.. If you need chains, get info from fuelrod he got a nice pair for Well Seasoned ..

I got r4 they work until you have ice.. Better for going down road..

Thanks guys. I inquired about the 3rd function but didn't go for it since it can be installed later no problem. I put my extra $$ for now into quick attach forks, loaded tires, cruise control, and extra hoe buckets.

I just got my yard finish graded with a dozer yesterday so I have plenty of work to do right away!!!!

The only detail that I don't have worked out is backhoe storage. I have a 40ft high cube connex box that will fit the tractor and all the implements but ideally I will be able to drop the hoe off inside so it's out of the weather. It's going to be a bit tight in there for that but it should be feasible.

BTW - connex boxes are the best thing ever if you have a place to hide them. They work expectionally well for storage of power equipment. Mice can't get in!!!!

Here are a few of our '06 3130 'Bota
    1st one it's handling a 46" 6ft long white oak log.
    2nd - 43" block of red oak
    3rd - hauling a load up to Mom's house
4th - cleaning up some storm damage
5th - bush hogging hunting club property
6th - teaching him young, what a Grandaddy is all about.
7th - I don't have a winch but made a 800# bumper/counterweight. I can store chains, move trailer or pull logs with it.

I put a good number of hours on the tractor skidding and stacking logs. I think I finally reached a critical mass to call up the portable miller for a solid day's work. Oh, I had to drop a couple of tulip poplars to finish the pile, so I got to put the Stihls to work felling and bucking. It was a great day in the woods. 20180707_181252.jpg 20180707_184241.jpg 20180707_193542.jpg 20180707_202627.jpg

Added to the split pile from our g2g, added another cord to it. Stopping for now, 85°F and getting hungry. Between the rest from a few weeks ago, another cord of rounds I picked up from a neighbor and a downed tree, there's another 3 cords to get split. Still need to buck up the oak fuelrod brought, along with the pine Scotty Overkill took down. Lots of processing to get done.

    Junk wood for the pit.....

Roto tilled an acre for a radish/turnip/brassica plot today. Hardly noticed the tiller behind the new Kubota compared to the old one-I guess that is what 10 more hp and 3,000 pounds more weight means!

    Congrats !

If you're going to buy chains , I'd recommend some of the Scandinavian chains , I've not found any that last as long .
There might be some other good ones out there but I haven't seen any .
I have a set of Norse(Igland) on one my MF1020 and a set of Trygg on my YM336D .
Make sure that if you get studded chain that it's sized for your tractor , too small of stud wears prematurely and too big of a stud doesn't break through ice to give you traction .
Fuelrod willhave real good insight on good chain .
