Why yes! Yes it would! I did some tall grass and weed mowing with the brush hog today. The A/C and tunes on the radio. Sweet.
Congratulations! I have a L4060 and love it! The 2 speed hydrostatic transmission is awesome. I plan on spending this hot afternoon in the cab with the ac cranked! Enjoy sir!
Nice. I was looking for a bigger cab tractor but the price kept going up. Found a very nice L3940 with third function but it was a little too much and too far away. I wanted a Kubota Cab tractor with heat and A/C, Hydrostatic with third function hydraulics, and R-1 Agricultural Tires. This one had everything but the R-1s. Close enough. I may do some extra work on the side sometime to make the money and buy a set of four R-1s mounted on rims for this tractor. I bought a standard duty 6’ rotary cutter and rake from tractor supply and it is doing a nice job turning the cutter in thick long grass and weeds. I think this tractor will be enough for what I need. Any future larger projects and I will just rent one of the larger mini excavators with a thumb and return it.
Now I have to go through the trails and trim up branches with my pole saw so I’m not scratching this cab all up. Got rained on this morning. And looks like probably again this afternoon. Day off! Yes! (Well, mostly )
Enjoy the a/c and heat in that cab I like how you have leveraged the machines to fill your needs, and hopefully came out on top throughout the trades.
Thank you. Sell outright. Then buy. I have traded in before but that is not good for your financial well being!
Today I had to clean up the windows on the outside of the cab. They were getting pretty cruddy. It’s time to go cut some long grass this afternoon. The L3540 has been getting some work done here and there for me. Especially during the last 3-4 weeks of heat and humidity. The AC in the cab is spoiling me.
I need a backhoe! I knew I wouldn’t be able to go very long without one. They are just so handy to have when you have acreage to work on. I looked into getting one for this Kubota L3540, but I wasn’t going to spend that much money on a small backhoe. Not when I could get a MUCH stronger one for the same price! Must be fuelrod is having more influence on me. Running up my equipment debt! An additional work partner….. 1979 John Deere 300B. Dug a couple old Pine stumps with it earlier, that I should have dug out 15 years ago, only been mowing around them a “while” . Didn’t want it to get it wet out in the rain.
The rear wheels on this machine a pretty close to frame. But they are concaved(?) in. Can I switch sides with them without flipping them to make more room for studded chains? I’m thinking for traction in dirt and clay as much as snow. The difference that studded chains make is really impressive!
I wish I could help with that, I just don't know. Maybe a little careful measuring of any offset would answer this. I've never heard of filling backhoe tires so they won't be crazy heavy and you have built in Jack's (outriggers) AND your kubota to help move them around. See, 2 machines are paying off already.
This guy is using the same machine without hoe. He has chains on it. Huge difference. I’m wondering if he made any adjustments. There just seems to be too little space for chains on mine.
