Whole Foods proved the old adage of a fool and his money are soon parted when they were selling $6 asparagus water years ago. When it went viral and became a PR issue, corporate effectively sold the media con artists the it was all a "mistake" narrative.

Dunno where that 49.1% in November comes from. Certainly not here. They jumped from 99¢ to $3.99 a dozen in May around here. Still $3.99 a dozen for the basic egg. Shortly after the first bird flu die/kill off with the Spring bird migration. Now there's supposedly been another bird flu die-off with the Fall migration. So prices likely won't be going down any time soon.

Hey, there's 81 million potential buyers for those carbon neutral eggs. Can't blame Kroger's and Simple Truth for trying to make a buck.

While the "bird flu" has no doubt killed a lot of birds, man (or the government etc) has killed (ie because of exposure/risk/ proximity etc) a high percentage of that number.....

But if your truck is tier 4 and burning ULSD you aren’t adding a thing to the carbon footprint right?

Cuz it makes a lot of sense to haul eggs from Iowa to Utah and then reload with eggs to bring them back to Minnesota only to reload eggs again and take them back to another farm in Iowa.

nothing in agriculture and our food industry makes any sense to me.

how many egg barns have mysteriously burnt down recently? I’m away of 4 just within 40 miles of home here. The last one less than a year ago.

sparboe farms had Walmart take their branded eggs out of their store because eco terrorist spread false videos of their operation. They put in a cover brand in the stores instead.

I’m deleted, more power and better mileage and runs cooler. Sometimes some ways of thinking puts you back in time.

Don’t forget cleaner. A few years ago Pittsburg Power provided a bunch of test that resulted in more power & cleaner emissions after a delete using their system vs all the added emissions bs added to newer trucks.

Its not just egg/chicken farms...its farms and food processing and storage facilities of all types...and all over the world!
A while back I seen an article where someone had tracks all this stuff worldwide...it was astonishing...no way it can all be accidental, not even remotely close!!

I am old enough to remember that you could only buy food seasonally. Cherries in July, peaches in August, plums in September, Mandarin oranges at Christmas for only about two weeks, strawberries in June, raspberries in August. etc. We had food delivered by tug and barge, probably the most economical way even now. Now food is flown here from all over the world. Oranges from South Africa, grapes from Peru, blackberries, of all things from Mexico, never mind the constant flow of out of season produce from California.

by the way, our eggs are $6.00 CAN right now.

I remember when I was young and we would have supper at my grandparents farm. After eating grandma would “ repurpose” all the table scraps into a bucket and I would take it outside and give it to the chickens.
Who knew my grandma was so far ahead of the times?

I can remember long shelves of canned goods and teeny tiny frozen food sections at the grocery store. And bringing lots and lots of tin cans to the dump because they didn't burn.
I still wish I had a few chickens to feed table scraps to even though I still keep a compost pile going year round.
