    I am with the kindling hoarders !! Hey Sy lol If you can save a good stick of seasoned fire wood by burning different stuff Hey get r done. We try to save gas ect ect why not wood in spring and fall. Hey roll the good stuff when it seems like 10 miles to the truck of the morning because its so cold.

    I really don't keep that much kindling on hand. I certainly don't go out of my way to make it. There is some splitter drivel tucked into my stack. And a few dimensional lumber scraps in the garage. I usually crack some splinters off a split or two if I need a starter. But that isn't very often once the cold weather hits, between mid December till sometime in March the stove might go out only once or twice.
