    Love Cones for kindling. Started using them, when available, since my teen years. Fond memories of firing up the wall tent wood stove early in the morning on Mule deer hunts in the High Lonesome Country of Washington State and Oregon.

    Pine cones, small sticks, splitter scraps, cutoffs, it's all good. I like the idea of making some cedar noodles for bug repellent. We use junk mail too, but most of that goes in the paper bin for recycling. They send us too much fire starter!
