I better fabricate a skid plate now... Where the exhaust comes out of the jug is prime real estate for a rock to stove it in :picard:

Like Jo said...I was saying put an elbow or something on carb and then filter on that. I've had a few of those quads and they served us well. Depending on how much room you have to play with you may also be able to just bend the crap out of that filter to wedge it in there.

I'll have to see what kind of hose I can find. The I.D. of the rubber boot on the back of the filter is about 1.4" (35.5mm?) so it's an oddball. Maybe I'll get lucky and one of my old radiator hoses will fit.

    A hose clamp will squish a 1.5 into 1.4 easy enough :)

Well, we’re off to the races so to speak. Got the extended shift lever on and extended kick starter shaft with a couple couplings and support block with a bushing mounted up. It started right up  Oh yeah, yesterday I had the machine on its side and I was messing with the exhaust, trying to figure out what bends I needed to clear the frame. I turned my back for 30 seconds and my 12 year old says “hey dad I got it in”. Huh?!?! Sure enough he had wiggled it into the port just right and all I had to do was snug the flange down.

Some nice fabricating skills there Eric. My current bucket list pipe dream is buying a 70’s Kawasaki 2 stroke triple (widowmaker)
I would need a customized shifter to ride a bike again. I know who I’m coming too LOL

Ahhh yes I’ve heard of those bikes before. A bit of a cult following. Whenever you’re ready to mount a shifter we can definitely talk

My dad had a few different bikes when we were growing up. One was the H3 750, it was a fun ride.

I just put a Kawasaki ke100 out by the road today for someone to take. Broke a ring some years ago and has just sat in the shed. Always had thoughts of fixing it but we're moving so I'm just dumping everything.

When I was 16-18 I was on a pit crew for a single engine triple. My only job was to make sure there was still beer in the cooler at the end of the race :)
I’d really like to hear the crackle coming from a set of those stingers once more before I go. Actually I’d like the whole town to hear it too :)

Yup, when I worked at the bike shop one of the other mechanics ran an H2 drag bike...9" car slick n the whole deal...did have a unique sound to it! (besides just LOUD!)

Sounds even better in the back of a Ford van with the rear doors open. Three expansion chambers inside one large expansion chamber :)
