I see them around town on occasion. There was one for sale in the town over. I am not sure if it is there or gone. OK BRAD. Let’s see. How long do you think it would last if you had one for hoarding? Something tells me it would hold a half cord plus if you had one. The tailgate might last a week.
If you CT guys travel up Route 7 into New Milford just before the Big Y heading north is a parking lot with like 10-15 of them. Same for a short distance over in Sherman just by the Sherman School. The prices I saw on the windows was in the 5K range, which kicked this whole daydream off.

Importing new ones or 25 year old ones that are exempt from import laws ? Those old Honda Acty 4WD are pretty slick. Can't put them on the road here in Ma but would make nice farm vehicle. Once a vehicle gets somewhat old in Japan they have to get inspected a LOT. I would like to replace my golf cart with one but they are popular enough that the cost of them is being driven up.
RGrant What specific questions do you have regarding these trucks? I am in my 3rd year of owning one. Same setup as a full size vehicle (horn, blinkers, wipers/washer, blinkers, etc. etc.) My model has 2WD and 4WD hi and lo. 5 speed manual transmission, heat/AC, axel lock, dump box, parking brake. I spoke with the DMV and that person told me it would be legal to license for highway use in Michigan (insured of course) but I have no need or interest to do so. It has a 3 cyl engine around 660 cc

It has ORV registration so it is legal to drive the same places as those. The use of it is prohibited on state and federal highways except where noted and that is usually just a short distance along the shoulder to connecting trails.
yooperdave I think you caught me out. I like small vehicles that are easy to take care of. I'd love to have a truck of any sort but the smaller and weirder the better. If I had a technical question- and I know I could just look this up online- is it easy enough to do the oil / rear differential - and any other fluids come to think. I'm routine maintenance to the max. Come to think- do you put chains on that thing for the snow?
Yes, easy enough for differential and other fluids routine maintenance. My truck has a 2" lift on it with the same tires you would see on a stock UTV. The ride does NOT have much suspension travel so it does NOT provide the comfortable ride (sorta) that the UTV can when off roading. Solution is to drive slower. I don't use it in the winter other than hauling the garbage cans up to the roadway weekly.....unless I feel overly ambitious and carry them up by hand! The season's snow last year was in excess of 250". With those typical amounts, it would be getting stuck whether or not you had chains for the tires-which I don't. But, it has no problems driving on plowed roads with just tires. However, they do offer those tracks that you can buy for them and I have seen UTVs with them drive right along in the snow. I walked up to look at some for sale and the salesman just shook his head and said if I bought one I'd have to get a smaller friend to drive it home.
