My mom and grandparents lived up the street from the cemetery by Daal's back in the 60's and 70's. You are absolutely correct on the colonial history of the area. The hardships they endured was incredible, but the ingenuity to survive was equally impressive as well.
My cousin lived on Acorn street, right across from the cemetery. I know Daal's very well, been in there.
