I don't know for sure, but if I put the 390 engine in my 290, will it hook up just perfectly to my existing carb.... Thanks for help once agian mastermech
Hey guys I had a guy drop off some elm the other day.... There were some big pieces I gladly cut up with my ms362, but the smaller 10" or so pieces, I reserved for the ms180.... Well once agian she fired right up, and after I let her warm up a bit I let her rip right into sthe elm....I tell ya guys the more I use this little saw the more I like it....so light, small, and nimble it is hard to believe... The new "Chinese" motor I put in the saw has roughly 3 tanks threw it, and seems to be doin great.... I have a ms250 that has been a great saw, but I think I will just keep this little ms180 for small limbing.....
Well I gave the ms180 a hard test yesterday, limbed a shagbark hickory which we all know is hard wood... Ran a tank threw her, and she acted great, who knows maybe this motor will work for awhile!!!!
I love some Chinese motors I have on stuff. There good for what there are. Will probably last year's with the use your giving it. Going out and cutting firewood day in and day out 10 cords a year I'd be surprised if it lasted 2 years. And yes if the plug said farmer tec that's the engine too. It's made by them which is the same company as Huztle on ebay. I have useD a lot of their stuff. Have a big bore top end on a 372 but haven't done much other than start it up as its a parts saw.
So you have had good results with the hutzl stuff, that's good to hear.... I ain't go t much money in it so it's a good experiment for me anyway!!! B Be interesting to see how long you 372 would last too!!!
Like I said I have don't not much more than started it up. I bought the top end just messing around. Put it on the parts saw that had a bad cyl. Cranked it tuned it and made a few cuts and that was it.
There is an aftermarket parts thread you can post your results so far in it and update as time goes by on its progress.
she will work good for many years , no worries , i have use tones of aftermarkets on saws like MS 180 because of the oems costs , and until now no problems
