I do a major cleaning of my stove

    That might explain it. I burn auto almost all the time.

    Early Spring as soon as it's not being used at least a couple hours a day . I find if you don't clean the ash and cover the vent pipe early the ash will become damp and the inside of the stove will start to rust . Learnt the hard way . So I clean early add 2 damp rid containers and cover up the outside pipe . Also HD Taunton , Mass has Stove Chow no price yet .

    Appx 4 to 5 times a year for deep cleans, air wash vents were clogged by well meaning people years ago so glass is sooty except on the rare exception it's cleaned in the same manner that caused it so very short duration.

    Well I am a slacker. No other way around it. Thoroughly cleaned the stove and ran the brush up the flue liner yesterday. Better late than never I suppose. She's ready to go
