Had some time today so I decided to finish up the rest of that twin White Oak snag dropped in July.

Saved the main crotch that was about 5 feet off the ground - 15" at wide end.Had been fine-tuning the carb adjustment on my Super Pro 125C recently, sure it seemed like overkill to use this beast on anything less than 30" diameter - but hey why not & have some fun too?

As dry as that wood was (guessing tree died 2-3 years ago, then it baked all summer during our drought) it didn't even slow down a bit..404 square chisel skip is finally getting a bit dull, was used quite a bit on 24"+ Honey Locust & some smaller 20 yr old Mulberry earlier in the summer.

White Pine makes the best shavings with it though - this super hard stuff its smaller curls even with sharp chain....:axe:Soon I want to get the stump & mill it into some 2" slabs. But have to get caught up with some other stuff first. That can wait til after the snow flies since its not far down the slope across the driveway - no worries about hauling it a long distance through heavy snow.I can throw a couple slabs on my shoulder & carry them 75 ft up the hill. :D
