Good job, Dennis. An extra bonus to barkless firewood is it takes up less space in the stacks and stove so more heat per volume. Nice addition to your cache.
Yes guys, that is some premium firewood. We haven't been burning much of it for quite a few years because of all the dead ash but when they start coming down and are that size, it would be difficult to pass up. There were only a few logs that were light in weight; where the tree had broken off. I was afraid if I didn't cut it now then by next fall it might be punky.
