    Another stop at the tree dump yielded some honey locust...not a lot but it's gooder wood!

    Put the new 450 to use for the first time. Maybe it's my lucky charm?

    Don't let the name fool you. No matter how much of it that I've eaten it still doesn't taste like honey. :)

    Well I got the Locust split and started on the Mulberry this morning.

    I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but the story that we all learned as kids about the Easter Bunny coming and stacking all your split wood on Easter day is a big lie.

    Ummm...that is what the Easter Bunny is suppose to do right?

    2 of the best woods right there.I'm glad that they're not well known by the public around here,that means more for me.;)

    Everyone wants oak (very plentiful,more than mulberry & honey locust combined),occasionally maple (about 95% is Silver in my area) for their fireplaces & stoves.And a little cherry/apple when they can get it.

    But I'm not real picky,I'll cut,bring home,burn everything except for ailanthus/tree of hell & willow.:saw::tree::axe:

    For guys like me that seem to come across just small scrounges I thought I'd show how quickly it all adds up.

    Bucked and split those two small loads of locust and mulberry.

    Keep at it guys!

    Yeah, it's not only in the upper BTU charts, but high on the fiber ratings too!

    And Schlot scores again! :yes: Honey locust already cut up....:eek:

    I agree with you about how all these little scores add up. I add a little here and there during the year. Really nice looking stack of locust and mulberry! I'm jealous.
