    Phew, I’m in time. First year is not too late. Get into civil engineering! Actually, just take the prerequisites for civil, mechanical, and even forest engineering so that when you apply for the department at the end of sophomore year you have the choice.

    Redneck is an adder. Like a redneck ceramics engineer. They usually are less likely to get stuck in “analysis paralysis” where they can’t make a damm decision. The redneck part helps them just know when “that’ll do”.
