...and keep wood hoarding maniacs on their hotrod Hondas under control... BTDT...I agree, 45 is too slow on the BRP...even on a Goldwing
I feel the need for speed on motorcycles. Had a VTX1800 that would do 121 on occasion sorry for the fuzzy pic it's hard to focus at 103mph but then you have to pay for your fun two of Valdez Alaska's finest shook me down for $300
Lol. At double the posted speed limit, Thats hardly a shakedown my friend Good thing Im not a LEO. I'd have wrote you a fistfull of tickets, towed your bike, and sent you walking. $300 is cheap imo. Yeah, I know.....I'm a jerk.
Up here in Ontario that speed will get you a charge called stunt driving. That translates into bye-bye to your vehicle for 30 days (you pay the towing and storage), instant forfeit of your D/L till court appearance (get to walk home), and if found guilty, max fine up to $10,000. and further D/L suspension. In other words, Silly Games........Silly Prizes.
. Did not lose DL or any points. Alaska is/was a no points state back then. My ins company didn't even find out the fun I was having which was a good thing. I told the Valdez police officers I had no money just credit cards. They said no problem you got 30 days to pay it. So they sent the ticket home to my wife in Wisconsin. I tipped her off the letter was coming (got the dumass talk) and she paid the fine before I even got home. But the problem was she didn't read the fine print on the ticket. The fine print indicated there was a $10 discount if ticket was paid by a certain date? She paid the full amount? Guess what happened. I got a letter from the state of Alaska 6 months later with a $10 refund the amount she overpaid. The check was signed/stamped by then Alaska guv Sarah Palin. I cashed it and later she ran for VP. Should of kept check for a keepsake!
It would be fun on a bike going faster but that would not be good for others. If traveling on an rv, you don't want to go that fast and besides, going slower allows you to better enjoy the scenery. But if they were to close the parkway for a day and only allow motorcycles... Zoom!
They'd have to close it for two days. It would take the second day to pick up all the pieces and write all the accident reports!
