Matt, I will post up some of mine tonight, including a 66SV and an 800, the Deere version of the Echo 8000. The fellow I bought my 66 from had 2.

Had a fellow call me last night looking to sell some saws, he has a 610EVL in the lot I am going to get as a parts saw for mine.

Nice looking saw Guido! Why did John Deere make some of there saws in yellow and some in green? Is one version more of the industrial type saw and one a homeowner series?

Really old Deere saws were mostly green with yellow accents. Made by Remington. All yellows were Echos, and the newer all green models were Emak/Efco models.

Were there other manufacturers that I'm unaware of?

The later model homeowner series were green and made at the Homelite plant I believe...
I think Deere co. owned a part of Homelite's parent company.

It came with a 20" bar so I have never really had a chance to test it. Probably ought to do that before I let it go...

    Here ya go....

    21.1cc/1.29 cubic inch Idle speed 2700-3000RPM Total weight 11 lbs.Length 69.7 inches

About 15 yrs back I was tired of messing with that string line so I put one those factory tri-blade heads on.They're about done now, gravel & chain link can wear them down quickly.Individual blades are easily replaced & not that expensive.Still much better than the hassle (and expense) of constantly going through all that nylon line.Plus all those pieces of plastic littering the roadsides etc.

70.7 cc. rebadge of the echo CS 702. matt did me a HUGE favor by picking it up, cleaning it up, and having it delivered to me. will forever be indebted to him for that. i think he wanted to keep it but was stand up enough to keep his word. major kudos to matt.
only thing i don't like about it is the choke arm likes to slip off the choke lever. doesn't have a keeper and i've not taken the time to drill a hole and put a cotter pin in it.
