Is that one of those ebay splitters to fit a phd power head?
I've been looking for one of those old cones to adapt to my phd to split bigger logs to ease handling.

Boy that thing is nice. Especially since I often deal with big rounds, and I do have a 3-point PHD. But the price is tough to swallow, especially since I don't mind noodling the big stuff. Still worth considering though.

Awesome. Thanks CBVT! I will let you know for sure. If I wasn’t going to a wedding on the west coast this June I would be heading to Well Seasoned s GTG. If he does it next year I might fill up your mailbox with some orders to bring home:)

Do you think it's big enough to bust a 8'+ say 20" dia. log in half?
Not having an extra circuit on my excavator I'd be using my SS & phd, again just to make it a more manageable size. I'd finish on the log splitter.

whats a SS?? super split? the phd is run off a tractor?
it will easily split that, but i can reverse the the flow and unscrew it......might be a little more akward with 3pt hitch but im sure it can be done...lots of good vids on it on atom website.
most of my tree customers own one either on a skidsteer or excavator, busting up large logs (BIG) to run thru the chipper....most customers run 18"-22" capacity chippers.
ill try to grab some pics of some of the huge crap these little things can split....cant wait to try it on some stumps...
SS skid steer......got it,duh.....ill have another beer please...

Yes there is room,I had the rear chains on it already for test fit,its just the RH side has a guard over the inner fender protecting some of the valving... sort of a double wall type thing,I felt more comfortable moving the wheel out an inch,in case the chain came loose,I'm just overly cautious sometimes
