    The Piranha tank.

You don’t hear anything about these killers anymore. It seemed like they attacked people all the time in the 80’s. I used to have nightmares about them because they said people were dumping their fish tank Piranhas in ponds and rivers.

Some folks just seem to love the brights lights, fancy buildings, cement, asphalt, etc. I still much prefer nature.

The Aquarium is a cool place place to visit, World of Coca-Cola is interesting. Getting there is the headache.
    Nice line up of saws...

This one reminds me of my grandmother.
Her smile looked like that at my wedding....tossed the photo I think....

I reckon one's like for the concrete jungle might have something to do with where one was raised.

If ya say "big city" kinda loudly & through clenched teeth, you'll know my general feelings toward the place...

I took my luggage to the car this morning and as soon as I entered the garage my pal asked if I paid, so I must look like a wealthy hillbilly. Maybe it’s the wood scuffed boots that triggers him.

It wasn’t bad. I got the lowdown from the housekeeper so I knew what to avoid. No problems between the hotel, aquarium and Olympic centennial park. I’ve seen worse in my local Walmart parking lot.

Here’s my tip for him. If I would have backed in, I wouldn’t have been able to open my door.

Hate big cities myself. Don't even like going into New Haven or Hartford and they,re not big.

Mebbe you can find a Stihl dealer open 24 hours? Crash at T.Jeff Veal's place?

I've lived in Atlanta most of my life. The city has really changed over the last 30 years. I remember going downtown and shopping at Christmas time. There was hustle and bustle and a nice big city feel.
    Not anymore.

In high school I was a 10 minute drive from Atlanta and we would go watch the Braves and have a great time. It still had it's bad elements but not like today.

The city seems dead now. Buildings are empty, and there aren't many business people out walking around.....just homeless people. The Braves moved north west into Cobb county where all the money is. All of the big money companies are north of the downtown area in surrounding counties.

I actually live 30 minutes south but work in the city. I work as a paramedic on an ambulance for Metro Atlanta so I get to see some of the worst elements. Actually at work now.

Traffic is another story. If you're going 80 then you need to be in the slow lane because everyone else is going 90 to over 100. Very rarely are the police running radar so people just drive crazy. Lots of multiple car accidents due to speed and racing.

I've always loved Atlanta but would never recommend it as a vacation spot which is sad to say.

I saw an RV stopped in the middle of 85N on my way out. I looked over and saw they had hit a thrown semi tread. At the speed everyone was traveling I knew it would eventually cause a pile up. I was there back in the late 80’s for the Peach bowl and remember being impressed by how nice the subway was. Downtown is a mass of skyscrapers like I’ve never seen. Charlotte is small in comparison.

I was there a little over a year ago for a conference. I was surprised with how quiet the downtown area was. The hotel I ended up at wasn’t in the best part of town; despite being a Marriott. Did a lot of Ubering for a few days. The conference was at the aquarium which was a really neat venue to have a conference at.
