I know my pellet guy said the price point for him will be about $400 a ton. Up here in upstate ny Douglas fir purples are now $550 a bag and matras are $400 a ton

Maybe, maybe not. Just reporting what was passed on to me. Since this is a somewhat "new" pellet that seems to be widely distributed now I thought it was worth noting that.

It seems most may be mixing these with regular pellets. I AM NOT saying these are messing up burnpots but it's something to keep in the back of your mind just in case.

No I totally understand. This is totally uncharted territory. Who would have thought that compress coffee would burn hotter than the hottest wood. And if I can get them for $400 a ton and matras for the same price that’s like the perfect storm I guess. My pellet guy is getting them in a few weeks so I’ll clean my stove and give them a try. Can’t wait.

It will be a few weeks but I can’t wait either lol. I think it’s a great idea but I am curious about the acidity of the coffee if it does anything to the stoves under high temps

I might try a ton as we are going to need a hot pellet once it gets cold. See it helps with the polar vortex crap!!

I feel left out, I want to try some. Now I'm gonna get FOMO. Another pellet I'll never see.

14 degrees at the shack this morning. Coldest morning of the season so far. Looks like tonight could be a repeat.

Wind is aways worse than actual temperature. Finds every crack and crevice to seep through.

Catching wind of an arctic blast heading in for this weekend. Could be an opportune time to take the java flames for a test drive?

I think my pellet guy is supposed to get them in this week so I told him to let me know when they are in and I’ll come over and pay him for a ton but only take half. He stores them there for me for no cost.
