The storm was kind of a dud as far as snow goes, it turned to sleet/freezing rain for the second half, we only got about 6 inches.

Made for a nice sunrise the morning after though.

I much prefer snow over sleet/freezing rain. Snow can be shoveled or plowed. Ice is where it is until it melts. Ice cubes are about the only form of ice I can say I like. Remember the ice storm of '98. It was at this time that year we got 3 inches of ice over several days. No power, no running water. Just a k 1 heater and lots of buckets. Buckets for water, buckets for toilets. No showers. We survived for days on end, but it was no fun at all. Now have two generators, back up battery packs, battery operated lights and radio. Propane stove. and a drawer full of batteries.

The owners had coyote problems back a few years. They shot 17 coyotes in a year which really surprised me.

As much as we didn't want to, my son Matt and i had to get on the roof today. Between 2-3 feet up there, started around 9 and finished up around 2. With a day of possibly 40°F and RAIN we had to get it off.
