I've been recalled!

Actutally the recovery is not as bad as most think it is. For example, the first time I had hip replacement, that was on July 8. By September 1 I was climbing trees and doing pretty much anything I wanted. On the second one, my wife got really mad at me when the day after coming home from the hospital I was out plowing snow with the atv.

My doctor does not prescribe any physical therapy. He says go out and walk, so that is what I do. It works! Funny though that on the last one they hospital had a new thing going and I had to prove I could walk up a stair using crutches. No problem. I've used those things more than I care to admit. The guy walked with me to PT and when we got to the stairs, he asked me to wait as he'd be right back (someone else had a problem). So I just walked to the top of the stairs and waited for him. He was convinced.

 

Believe it or not, although it was not always this way, now I can go through the airport scanners and they do not set off the alarm. I'm told they put some changes in place about 3 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to not have to wait and wait to be frisked at the airport.
