    oh my...
We had to go to the market Sunday...And who did I pass? Yep, the old lady wearing a boat load of that really stinky crap perfume. I smelled her as she got to me and I was making the turn into the freezer isle....
Imagine mixing cats, mothballs and fruitcakes into hospital grade surface sterilizer and spritzing it onto a spoon and snorting it...
I thought to myself, it'll go away, it'll go away...
Well It Didn't Go Away...I could still smell that crap to the other end of the freezer isle. I actually had to hold my breath and walk to the next isle before my sinuses blew up...

Might have had solid lifters (and camshaft) very noisy due to the way they need to be adjusted. They need to be loose and that makes them 'clatter'
As opposed to hydraulic lifters that can be tight and make no noise.

Isuzu's been known for making great diesels. Gas, not as well known for that. That said, I learned to drive stick off road on fire roads in an 87 Isuzu trooper II 4x4.
It was not overly loud from what I recall. The neighbor had that trooper for well over 200k.

I'm pretty sure all troopers were not solid lifters.

I went to new shopping center still under construction that a couple businesses had moved in including a national pizza chain. I got to the sidewalk across the parking lot and stopped there for a minute to rest and gather more energy to make it inside. It was a hot summer day, a cheery polite and helpful pizza delivery gal came up behind me wiped the sweat off her brow and opened the door for me, I noticed the glass door was very dirty from grease, smears, handprints and too much other filth but was also impressed by kind lil gal. Straight from her last delivery she took my order and $$ and I asked her if I could use the bathroom. She said sure, pointed to the potty in the back and went to work making my pizza. I walked past her to the employee bathroom ....... I realized she had not washed her hands since arriving in the parking lot from a delivery, and then she kneeled down on the dirty floor to tie her shoelaces using her bare hands to brace her self then stood back up and started adding toppings. Guess what? There was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom. I asked for a refund and she did not have authority to do that, so I left without the pizzas.

    Wheres the "Blech!!" smilie?

I worked at a gas station as well back in the day for a short while. I seem to remember a car that had the tail light flip open, on the left I think, and the gas went in there. It was an older car.

In maine, it is now all self service. No where anywhere near that I'm aware of that will assist you getting gas.

That's a bad idea, if you have a spill while sitting on the bike it's likely to end up in your lap:faint: or all over your hot engine or both! Refill on the center stand only.

They can't check the oil on many Audi's. There's no dipstick on certain motors, as the level shows on the screen in the dash.

Most bikes don't have center stands. Of all the bikes I've had, only the kz1000 had a center stand.

I've never yet spilled had on myself yet while refilling. I'm super careful though. You have to assume there's a tiny bit of "loose" gas in the nozzle, and prepare for it before you turn the nozzle downhill.

Yup... we're lucky here too. As savemoney said tho, most Maine gas stations are self serve... but we have one to the south of us about 6 miles away that pumps gas, cleans the windshield and will check oil... another place to the north about 10 miles, same full service. Every time we stop, I'm surprised they still do it.
