It is almost an epidemic in the Northeast. I had six deer ticks stuck on/in me last year, and the wife had five. Only a couple this year though. We know a lot of people with Lyme disease

It's going to be 65 here on Sunday. It's been a mild fall for us.

It is also present in the midwest. Both my wife and I have had it and so has one of our dogs.

All the wood I have for this season is what most would consider shoulder season wood: pine, sweet gum, and Ailanthus. I'm at about 4/10 cord burned so far. Last year we burned from Nov 1 till early April for a total of 3 cords. That's about 6/10 cord per month. We are using WAY less wood this year.
