right. It will be strong for a few years before it rots out. Whacking it with lawn mower or snow blower would kinda stink. It is a good flush cut though.
I've been moving wood from that area up to the deck and into the stove. Today, it's all been moved. The stump gives a good spot for cone storage. After looking at the area, I got a tape measure. 8ft across. And room for 2 racks aligned like the tape measure. That'll be a story for a different day.
Snow will come to be sure. Mike, will you look to begin filling rows soon? I dont like empty racks, so I have a tendency to set them up if I have even a little wood to set out. Knew you'd find a use for that space. A wood-yard despises a void.
I have no on-site inventory. There's a dying red maple and the ash between the house and screen house is dead. There's an oak at my BIL's he wants down. And I'm sure my SIL won't complain about another big red oak being taken down. So, there's reload options. No hurry, though. Whenever I empty a rack, I look to improve it. Usually better leveling. Removing debris is the minimal effort.
