I predict weather, followed by more weather, then we are all gonna dieeeee!

Parts of Maine are under high wind and gale warnings.

That is so generous of you. Makes me want to be kind just like you. I'll send all my share of wind, rain and even my future snow fall to STB.

He will appreciate these acts of generosity. I think he loves foul weather. Good excuse not to have to go out.

Hey, I've got my cave, a good supply of food, plenty of quilts, and other important things.

I should be able to hunker down and survive a bit of weather.

26F this morning here. Stove has been running since yesterday afternoon so it's a comfy 74 in the shack.

Cold here also, hard frost, hunters out (their trucks parked out front of my house on this dead end road), but I am home just like any other day. Now to get a hot cup of coffee and read the paper.

Nippy out there, low to mid 20's here, this morning. Birds gave me the evil eye this morning, likely because they didn't get any scratch last evening as I just closed their coop doors when we got back from the concert. Yearly fiddle music fix was tended to.

[IMG] My wife gets up, puts on a second robe, complains it is cold. She finds some wall thermometer that goes to the furnace and says that it says it is 66. The digital thermometer in the bathroom says it is 71 F. Then she proceeds to turn on her little electric space heater. I'm setting in my tee shirt by the window and am more than enough warm. I think it is going to be a long tough winter in this house.

You have a choice, lose more weight to make you feel colder or get her to gain more weight so she feels warmer.

Then and only then adjust any thermostats.

Stove running all night, but it was on medium. Turned it up. Now she is dressed and has a sweat shirt on. It doesn't help that she is anemic and diabetic. We are both on the plus size. Needs to move around more.
I usually retreat to my office (so do both the dogs!)
The thing that would work would be to get some type of heat installed in the fireplace. My problem that I yipped about for the last 4 years is that it is a pre fab deal. I think it would cost big bucks to get something in there. I am going to call my nephew up. He works for Rocky Stove Shops in Augusta. I might be able to see if he can come up with something creative.

Didnt bother checking temps...Its cold sums it up. Went out to the truck 30 minutes ago-even with the strong sun-Its Cold.

No stove running till I get home from work though :). During the week, when Teresa isnt there, its off in daytime until we get real cold for 24/7 burning.

Weekends, I'm with Savemoney...I'm in a T shirt and she is bundled up.....
