Oh ya, I also stopped at the Kubota dealer today and had my financial advisor with me. The guy could not talk much as he had to go to a big meeting but says he will call me and he says he has a deal that might blow me away. We'll see.

Please let us know what that "blow me away deal" is. I am considering a tractor purchase.
By the way. I will be coming in Fri. and would like to throw my bedroll out on your floor if possible.

Wow! Im pretty sure you will take home the trophy for farthest distance travelled to the gtg! As to name tags.....that's a good idea. Duct tape and sharpies if nothing else.

I had thought about name tags last year but didn't get them. Perhaps we should this year. I guess duct tape could work but perhaps we could get something that would look a bit nicer. We have some ladies coming too.

As for distance, it could be a toss up between My IS heats my home and Chvymn99 as they are both a long distance but in opposite directions. I've been to Kansas City but not to Boston but not too far from there. It is a long drive but not a bad one. difficult to make in one day sometimes but can be done as I've done it several times. Also have driven to Omaha, which would be about the same distance as KC and I think the last time we went there we made it in somewhere around 10 hours or a tad over that.

After doing my preliminary driving research, door to door is just under 800 miles and the estimated drive time is 13 hrs.

I wonder if there's any species of wood out my way that you don't have Dennis? And what do you have that I might not?

The name tags have been used a couple times. I'll suggest Duck tape or Gorilla tape as well. Those "My Name is _______" suck! They fall off within an hour or two. Last time we used them was at Scotty's/Chris' GTG last year in Pa. Didn't go over well. I have a white paint stick to use on the black or grey Duck/Gorilla tape.

Yep. Thats been my experience as well at all the rifle classes we do. Shooters all get tagged on the back so we know their names while they are shooting. Even tape falls off of certain fabrics. 3m brand seems to be the best although I haven't tried Gorilla.

    You are right Kenny.

DexterDay and bocefus78 it will then be duct or gorilla tape for name tags this year unless I come up with something different but I do think we should have some. I might get some of the lighter ones for those who won't be quite so active as they might feel better wearing them.

Distance will be close between the east and west members! Might be determined by how often they pull off to pee?

About the only thing I can think of off the top of my head would be perhaps sassafras, muscle wood, yellow birch (we only have a couple), witch hazel and perhaps pin oak or ironwood. If I think of more I'll let you know. None of those are infected with anything either so that is good. We can just stick some on some bags and all will be well. Too bad you don't have chestnut any more or I'd love some of that. Not sure if we'll get any in our lifetime.
