40 degrees outside and sunny. Brand new chain on the Husky 266XP and the local dump has some nice Ash - Score! Filled the truck with 17” long 20-26” diameter rounds of Ash. Had to half & quarter some of the rounds so I could safely lift them into the bed - last thing I need is another hernia surgery. This stuff will heat the house for about two weeks some 3-4 years from now. Currently laying on the stove room couch relaxing, listening to holiday music out of the Zenith Transoceanic. It’s a nice 82 degrees in here with a toasty fire chewing away at Silver Maple in the Ideal Steel. Have a great weekend everyone.
I had all intentions of going for a big load yday or today but my daughter in law was kind enough to share her sickness on Christmas day. I coughed so much yesterday that my head and chest ached. Feeling a little better today.
A good day it was for sure! We had 60 here in south central Pa. I took the time to clean up my processing area. 2 loads of poplar and pine plus 2 loads of chunks into the basement. And a nice evening fire. Stay thirsty my friends!
No cutting today. Boiler fan quit working overnight. Had a loose wire on a solenoid. rain coming in so I did some tarp covering. Heading to Nashville in the morning to watch the Blackhawks and staying over. Wife will have wood duty Sunday through Monday morning
