The rounds were still by the road yesterday. Took a couple pictures and 3 of the nice ones. Left the crotchety stuff. I’ll have to cut them down to my size and have some nuggets. 76A5FFDC-84A7-477E-97A0-89C4847234C2.jpeg C286AD5F-1329-483F-B436-B867539A77D4.jpeg

I dunno, living out there in the grasslands and sand dunes I’d almost be tempted to take even the crotchety stuff. Noodle it down into chunks and save it for those sub-zero nights.

Locust splits pretty easy. Even the crotches.

Man you guys are tough to please. If they are still there next time I go back ( not this coming weekend but the next weekend) I’ll grab them. They are kinda long and heavy, guessing 24 to 30 inches.
Starting to feel like if I don’t get them my membership will get revoked and then I’ll never get to ride in the helicopter. Sheesh!:picard:

Ride in the helicopter? More like you need to worry about the helicopter doing strafing runs on your house. This ain’t some maple we’re talking about here :)

:( They were too heavy, poor baby.

Suck it up and get the wooden gold!
