    Felling a tree is one of those activities when I would rather be good than lucky...

    I'm not usually very lucky...

    So... ummm... I don't fell many trees. It's not my strong suit. But I must question why Vila even cut the wedge out if he just zipped through the tree above the wedge. Wouldn't he have gotten the same result without the wedge?

    I also like how he dropped it on the table. So much for taking care and paying attention to your surroundings. I'm surprised he didn't drop it on one of the onlookers. Ugh.

    I kept wondering how I was so incredibly wrong... now I know!

    Yes result would have been same! Hinge never closed! He missed it completely :bug:

    a plumb line would have told you where that tree was going. Stand back from tree (string with weight) held vertically will tell you where weight of tree is.

    I am not an expert, as many here are, but all I can guess is he didn’t want to get dirty on TV
