Finally can get to upload some pics. One round came with a bonus dog chain. Loaded the longer cut limb wood in my trimming rack.
Nice! That round with chain would make for an interesting Halloween display. Plastic skeleton on the end of the chain maybe???
I like that idea. But I usually don't decorate for any holidays outside. I figure nobody can see my house from the road, so why bother. Plus it's just another thing I have to do.
That made it a decent deal. The worst part is when you get wood like that and it is in different lengths. That takes a lot of time to recut and the short ones are harder to stack.
I am pretty used to getting different sizes. I like to have some shorter splits so I can load the stove east/west, or build a cabin fire. There was a couple short cuts, I don't mind it too much. As for the long cut ones, I put them in my trimming rack, and cut them all at once.
Great trade! I think if I had extra time on my hands and a limited supply of wood I would've paid $100 for the oak though.
