I thought when the new software came this forum would speed up but it had not. It seems almost every time I click to post something, I can sit back and relax while waiting for the software to bring up the page. Why? And can something be done to speed things up?
It's just you. Or maybe your connection. Do you hear lots of squeaking and squawking before you get connected to the Internet? But seriously, I'm not having any speed issues.
Sometimes I do get good speed but then it will go super slow. As far as it being our connection of computer, that is ruled out because other sites work just fine. Oh well, it gives me time to pick my nose....
Dennis you beat me to it Ive been thinking the same thing myself lately. Ive been thinking it was my connection too but everything else seems to work just fine. Im sure they will get it straightened out soon now that its been brought to attention.
It seems to drag in peak times around us Dennis 5pm to 6pm and 8am to 9am. Peak times as in when everybody in this little hick town is online.
Just be sure to pick a winner. But really, my connection is barely 1 Mbps, so I might not notice it anyway. I blame it all on fast-food and fax machines. If the food doesn't hit the counter when the change hits our hand, we're pizzed-off, or "I faxed you the P.O., can't you fax me the parts?"
pretty sure it's a bandwidth thing, combined with peak times......I've noticed it gets a little sluggish when I'm cruising on here at peak times. but you gotta admit, the pictures are much better and easier on this forum.......
No real issues here. Y'all have done a great job setting this up, and have been promptly fixing issues as they come up. Thanks
Thanks guys. The mods and I are doing our best.......I gotta say you guys (the members) are what drives this thing. Everybody has been awesome..... Keep up the great work!
I think we as members should be patient. I can't imagine how much work Scotty and the Mods have done. I think that good communication and respect is the key to success. I do like how you guys are keeping this a positive place.
We expected to have "teething" pains...what we DIDN'T expect was the outpouring of support and the rapid membership growth....we are amazed at how quick it caught on. I guess it goes to show a lot of people were fed up with things and were ready for change.......
What I really enjoy is the likemindedness towards foraging and such. The shagbark syrup thread and double threads on chipotles sort of sums it up. That's why this forum suits me best.
