    I was recently putting wood in the barn for this winter and had some blue beech in that stack. It had not been wet but the wood was about as light as a feather. This is why I usually say it is best to burn it within a year.

    I remember you saying that previously and I took your advice and stacked mine undercover so it stays dry. :) So far so gooder, it's still heavy as the dickens.
