Hi everyone! Been lurking around on here for a while and finally decided to join. I've enjoyed splitting wood for many years but the past few years the hobby has turned into more of an addiction. I find myself thinking about cutting or splitting wood all the time now!
I've learned a good amount from reading around here and hope to learn much more from the wealth of knowledge here. Hope you are all doing well!

Actually I don't burn any of it, I'll keep a little bit of the not very good stuff every now and then for the home fire pit, but I give the wood away to people who do use it. It began a few years ago with keeping my dad's neighbor stocked with wood. He's up in his 80's and can't handle a chainsaw very well, so I just try to eliminate his need to use it.
Since then I've picked up steam and am looking for others to help out also.

new here, I have enjoyed cutting wood since I was 10 years old, I started with a bow saw and split with a 2 sided axe. which I later learned was all wrong. I dreamed of owning a chainsaw someday. now I own 4 saws, 3 splitters. a skid loader with a grapple and an owb. still burning and loving it. I hope this will make a good place to learn more about cutting wood. :)

    Welcome to the site coreboy.
Your avatar looks exactly like my rows did about 5 yrs ago. I'm on my way to having the acre covered myself, if I leveled my large pile out and added all my other piles to it I could probably cover an acre lol. You will get a nice pile built up in no time, especially with the helpers. Sounds like you and momma have a good handle on raising up those little ones .
