    Hello and good morning, Im Ed from the South Coast of Massachusetts. i was lucky enough when house searching to find mine with both a fireplace upstairs and a wood stove hearth setup in the finished basement. Its a raised ranch so i was super excited lol and ended up a family friend giving me a older Salvo Citation wood stove that i regasketed, repaired and installed myself and new lined the chimney. Ive been in the military close to 20 years now( Reserves) and also work as a civilian for the DoD as a diesel mechanic. i have been stalking the page for a few months getting idea's, suggestions etc. My father just dropped 2 large oaks and 3 HUGE 100+ft Pines. Needs to say ill be hanging out at his place for the next few week or so. Had em cut and dropped and he has been cutting them up for me to come split. Great group and tons of info on here so far!!

    Seen that I am supposed to introduce myself here ... Hello folks, I am a new guy. I started looking for a forum site and ideas for our future homestead. We are planning to moving out to Montana next year and building our cordwood home there. I have a lot of wants an ideas to do with the house and anything that deals with wood in general.
