    Been looking on FHC for a few couple years now. Said what the heck and fired up a profile! I'm a about to be married dude in NE Ohio with 2 dogs and serious firewood, logging, and tree climbing addiction. Started small tree service and stump grinding business last year. Started a plumbing and boiler service this year! Been plumbing for going on 12 years and cutting stacking, splitting and cutting firewood since I was a wee little pup! I think I may have bit off more than I can chew... Cheers!

    I came upon this site by accident when I was searching for the definition of the size of a cord of wood, which, after 20 years of burning wood, I still did not know.

    Split a little wood as a kid then didn’t have much to do with firewood until I was about 20 when I built a stove for the shop at the farm where I grew up and started burning whatever firewood I could find. It was equal parts cheap heat, the desire to use a resource that was otherwise going unused, and therapeutic.

    Now I have my own farmstead with a poorly insulated 3200 sq ft shop that I heat with another shop made stove.

    Married 15 years ago with 6 kids. Do custom baling and repair work for money.

    Aside from info about firewood, stoves, cord measurements and so on, you’ll find there’s way more to read about, share, and otherwise get sidetracked on here at FHC than your average forum. :thumbs:
    Oh, and pics are typically expected, BS and thread derails are common, and eatonpcat is a weirdo.
