    New guy to the site. OPE member for a number of years. Just got back from blacksmith and Scotty Overkill GTG in Altoona and had to sign up. Had the best weekend with everyone there and really enjoyed my time splitting with walt and that guy from Georgia that talked funny. Just kidding Jeff. Glad to be a part of this

    Agreed. Not a single person there that i wouldn't want to be friends with. Met Joe and Scotty at Duane's a few years ago. Joe asked me to talk to his son about the Carpenter's Union. Now his son is a third year apprentice. Really enjoyed talking with Caleb about work and the projects he has been on. Scotty's son Daniel is also one of the most polite and kind youngsters I've met in a long time. Great group.

    Hello all! It's Saturday morning, I have a cup of coffee in my hand (well, next to my keyboard that is), and it's time to make my first post. I had the pleasure of joining Backwoods Savage (I call him "Dad") and some of the other folks I met at his GTG earlier this year at the GTG in central PA near Altoona. Wow, what a great location and Wow, what great weather! And by that I mean it wasn't hot. It was great meeting more people from the forum and I look forward to getting to know your online handles - I'm sure that there is a way, I just haven't figured it out yet. I'll invest some time on that today and tomorrow. In the meantime, thanks for those of you who have mentioned me in your posts. Be gentle - I'll get there.
