The first one is yes, the second one is a NJ Audubon society picture. We compared the birds, the tail feathers were a dead give away. My wife did get a few good ones, the first is from my phone.

Depending on the yard and house layout, open a couple windows, use them as loopholes. Set in your house and shoot from the comfort of you Lazy boy! She can’t see you!

The speed in which those birds can move through the woods is amazing. They are more agile than a fighter jet.

That and pileated woodpeckers. To see them dodge trees and branches is simply amazing.

Yup. yesterday, i watched one fly and land on a dead white oak behind my wood storage. Heard it first which brought it to my attention.

Dear Dave....Thank you for calling us all "Bird People" instead of "Bird Brains" in your thread title! I know that took a lot of restraint on your part! :D

There is a tree near the shoreline that eagles will perch in. The most we've seen in it at one time is three.

The foot trail I made around the perimeter of the property passes right underneath it.

One day a few years ago, 99 lbs asked if I had seen all of the white stuff splattered on the ferns and undergrowth beneath the tree........and do I know where it is from and what is it?

    :)

    Reminded me of this!
