I wanted to share with everyone a good deal on a IR Gun. Most of the cheaper ones only go to around 700 deg F. I found one that I have used for two years and its still works. Its rated over 1000 deg F. It has the red led pointer so you can point to a certain spot. At a real nice price. That is good. I paid nearer twice that for on a few years back that only goes a little over 300 f . I didn't know a non professional unit was available at that price.
I paid about $80 for the one I have and it looks nearly identical to that unit. Mine came from Sears. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-infrared-thermometer/p-03450466000P Specs aren't correct on that site though, mine says -58* to 1000*F. I know it will go to -45* for sure. I used it this summer to check the temps on bushings for my Bobcat. Froze them in dry ice.
