    not really complicated reasons here. Easier to see plumbing and building before cabinets in..
    kitchens while essential are considered cosmetic.

    Local zoning board nixed the kitchen from our original plans. So builder submitted plans without kitchen, but we still put in all the electric and plumbing behind the final drywall. Final inspection done, so now the just open up the drywall and put in the kitchen. Easy peasy.

    It's almost done, but getting the appliances has been moderately painful due to “the Bug.” Supply chain for durable goods / appliances has been totally messed up. We'll get it done eventually, but FIL is chomping at the bit now.

The range and dishwasher are here and ready to be installed on Monday. The backsplash for the counter will be tiled in on Monday.     Back splash tile went up today. Grout tomorrow and all the last little details like drawer pull, receptacle covers, sink faucet, range and dishwasher install and that will be a wrap (except for the fridge which is back ordered).
