Dave it is 200# empty and 240# rigged. Sells for $5699.00 but I bought this as I can't pass up a bargain. New in the box $3000.00 last years model.
All of the above but in May it would be tidal for schoolie Stripers. Ok sorry about the highjack of this great thread now let's see more of what everyone is doing off season.
Schoolies on light tackle!! Awesome! FWIW - Went out of Hyannis last June on a party boat with my brother. Caught our limit of Black sea bass. Did the same thing a year earlier on a boat out of Harwich. I'm about an hour north of the canal, on 495. Milford area.
You're only explaining what you're doing this summer, kinda nice to know what else everyone does besides split wood and enduring snow. Things are looking up for ya! Post pics of your fish if you get your cooler filled!
I'm weird. I'm a largemouth man. I don't care anything for the ocean. Maybe it's just because when I'm at the ocean I'd rather lay on the beach like a whale. Largemouth is king for me. Here's a nice little 8 from this past summer 27" long.
Heh im the same way with lakes i love salmon and crab and whatnot but i dont mind the fight of a bass. Its great either way lets you know you're letting loose!
FYI - For those of you that are inland, schoolie stripers, are young, smaller striped sea bass. They are below the legal keeper size. But great entertainment can be had with catch & release.
There is often a striper rush during the spring and they head up the Columbia river. Masses, I haven't fished for them but the range from average hand size to about a foot or so. People love catching them for the sport of it. Its the quickness of them that I heard is what makes it way fun!
Ill be driving 14 hrs west to my brother in laws wedding in July and will visit family for a few days while there. A month before that me and the fam will go to see Def Leppard/Poison. This concert isnt my kind of music but the wife enjoys it. It has significance because its the first concert my wife and I have gone to together since Pink Floyd or AC/DC in the early 90s. She had a cochlear implant installed last year that has allowed her to hear again so it will be interesting for us to see how that goes in a loud environment. It will also be my sons first concert. My daughter and I will also be going to see Guns n Roses and then two weeks later Metallica! Im also looking forward to spending lots of time this spring and summer processing about 5 cords of firewood, fishing and many hikes through the forest with my husky. Summer is my busy season for work so Ill have to fit that in somewhere.
Pink FLOYD! Can you tell me how she lost her hearing? I had hearing aids since 1 and am profoundly deaf since birth. Go ahead and PM me if you want, its good to enjoy those bands. If you want an interesting experience, bring a few balloons and chill out with them. Metallica should be some real good fun!
Well, let's see. Spring-summer plans ... Make lots of firewood, stack firewood, restock the woodshed. Setting up a couple beehives for the first time, it should be fun. Gardening. Building a two-car carport. Tearing out a 24" section of exterior wall (poorly built) and rebuilding it, adding windows while at it. Redoing the kitchen and hopefully a bathroom. If I finish that, there is lots more to be done. Probably will go visit family in other states. Maybe do some fishing, likely some camping.
Beehives? Got to watch the movie: Mr. Holmes (2015) with Ian McKellen/Milo Parker---buzzzzz--might learn some tips along the way!
If you were not so far away, I could come and lend a hand. I use to work in construction when I got out of school; it was a small operation; the owner and me.
Yeah were looking forward to the shows. Pink Floyd was a good show, Ive been a huge fan of theirs since I was old enough to know good music. Ill send you a pm.
