Preach on brother! I'll be on two, or one wheel, like The Wood Wolverine , then in or on the lake in my ski nautique. I'll also be emptying beer cans and bottles. I guess I'll have to work too.
Sadly, I have never been able to enjoy playing while I've had work to do. Couldn't even enjoy an evening ride unless the lawn was cut....
I guess after I'm done helping out Horkn and schlot with their projects, and after I stop by and harass Eric VW I should be along shortly out to your place to help you enjoy what summer is left! Just look for the green truck coming up your driveway and have a cold Mt. Dew ready!

#1 split all wood that is cut #2 cut all wood that needs to be bucked #3 Ride Harley Davidson as much as possible #4 clear area for massive garden. This includes cutting down multiple trees and digging out the stumps. Huh. Looks like I'm not gonna have much time for #3. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ill be moving the non-covered wood into one the sheds that was emptied during the winter. Then Ill be growing MATERS! After that I will be building a small greenhouse for my wife. It was a birthday gift for her. Ill admit its for me too... so I can grow MATERS! Im going to try to heat it with the outdoor furnace. Just another excuse to burn wood. Been cutting all winter so Im going to take a break and visit family in Alaska and go to as many different MLB stadiums I can get to. The rest of the summer Ill be spoiling grand daughters.
yooperdave No "glass of wine"???[/QUOTE] I've got some Chablis chillin' for you Dave. MTN dew is always on hand too
Yep! You started something that can go on & on & on.... I/we hope to travel and see family on LI, but mostly reorg wood stacks and transport multiple cords from a 20 minute away repository. We shall see. Oh, maybe get CHeath up here for a BBQ session....
Let's see. First the need for wood activities does not stop just because it is not time to burn. I have a couple of trees behind my house that I need to deal with. Then there are all the other activities like a trip to SEVR on my Victory motorcycle. Southeast Victory Motorcycle Rally Of course there are all the GTGs to consider although this year it looks like I will be a bit busy. I still need to visit my 95 year old dad every year for a week or so. I doubt he will be doing his snow bird thing any more so that probably means a trip to the Orlando area to spend some time there. Now add on the fact that although I am retired I have a house I need to finish building and I am getting darned tired of that hanging over my head. This may be the year that I finish it and move in. That is the place where I actually have a wood stove and the remaining work is only about 4 months of full time work if I actually attack it instead of just messing around like I have been the last couple of years. Once that place is finished I need to do all of the neglected maintenance on the house I have been living in so that I can sell it. Nope. Nothing much to do off season.
Meeting up with fellow hoarders say, in Michigan? Priceless. Attending a GTG will bring the carpenters/helpers out of the wood work like you wouldn't believe. True story.
