Good on you for making a hard decision. I hope that you will find a support group or person that will understand and support your decision. Find a NON-drinking buddy who shares your interests outside of drinking. I am sure that most of your FHC family will support you and wish you success.
Now you speak wisdom. We were remembering old times lately and before I met my first wife boozin was all life seemed to be. What a difference after I started getting serious with that nice lady but she did turn a bit ornery over time. btw, I never completely gave it up but got so that I really never drank much at all after that and still the same way. Oh yes, and the ornery one is still around. We'll celebrate 55 years together very soon.
