Cottonwood? The Kotex Tree - it sucks up more moisture than any other wood.

And, uh, it stinks when wet.

That's amazing! And I like Bacon! Maybe this would cook up with less fat? More fiber? LOL!

Where did y'all find that? Hard to tell from the pic but it looks more like cedar than meat.

I didn't find it, I made it. That's the same three logs that Horkin "threw up", cut out, turned and stretched and turned into strips of bacon and resized in Photoshop, throw in a frypan, and a kitchen stove. Was my thing in another life.

"Mom! There's something really wrong with my eggs!"
"They're fine Brad, they're what you'll look like on the firewoodhoardersclub someday."

I have a red oak tree sapling that I planted in our front yard. I am noticing the bark when it is so young is definitely red. I am thinking that is probably how it got it’s name. Would make sense anyhow...

I'm teaching my five year old how to identify trees.

Spike ball tree = sweet gum
    string bean tree = Catalpa
    Helicopter tree = maple (silver)

Glad you don't have any chestnut trees around...

We do, but not many. That would be the mini hedgehog tree.

Growing up we had what was called a horse chestnut tree on our property. I stepped on those spiky things countless times. They also found there way into the leaf piles we used to jump in.
